I snagged this working Polaroid sun600 at the flea market for $3! How I love a good score that leaves enough change (holy crap!) to purchase film for it. Ideally, I wish to spot a working sx-70 polaroid to have more control of the photos depth of field and exposure. Until that time I’ll practice with the 600 to become more comfortable with shooting instant film. I ordered two packs of film from ‘Impossible’ to start off with, PX680 color shade/first flush and PX70 color shade. Here are my first results.

PX70 Color Shade:exposure set light all the way to the right.

PX 680 Color Shade/First Flush exposure: set center of the light setting

exposure: set light all the way to the right, surprised by the emulsion.
In other news I posted the new 2012 calendar: ‘2012 By the Sea’ in my Etsy Shop.

Twelve months by the sea in a durable display stand, or you may wish to place them on a fridge with a magnet, pin them on a corkboard, or even display on an easel. When the month has passed trim the photo for framing and enjoy! A lovely vibrant complement to brighten any workspace, home, or office during any season. Day dream of the sea, breathe in the fresh salt air as the sea laps against the shore.
Tomorrow morning I’ll be off on a road trip to Vermont for a few days, with rain coat and umbrella, according to the local forecasters, to welcome the season change of autumn crisp air and vibrant colored seasonal leaves.
Stay well my friend and you too have a blessed weekend!
Since early summer a square patch of overgrown grass out in the backyard hasn’t been mowed, and purposely left as a reminder: Caution beehive nestled in underground hole.
From a distance I noticed a small mound of soil as if someone had dug out the hive. Puzzled I walked closer to find the hole had doubled in size to a depth of about 8” to 10.” My guess is wildlife pilfered the nest during the night and bit-by-bit shred the hive.
Today I’m left mystified as the backyard is fully fenced in… hmmm.

After hurricane Irene spun her way up the east coast leaving us without power for 37 hours and several inches of rain today I woke to a glorious sun padded 83 degree temps. We faired well thank God.
All the rain has brought a splendor genera of organisms from butterflies to bees and crimson blushed mushrooms I’ve never seen before have sprouted in the yard . I wish to learn to be certain of the ediable and posioness.

Butterflies, bees and other flying insects were sweet in delight over the purple white bloom of peppermint herb when a goldenrod crab spider with a paralyzing sting took life. ; (

Aghast by the spider dressed in vibrant yellow I went back to the herb garden a second time noticing two grasshoppers enjoying a little afternoon delight, and could only smile.

When a life ends I guess another may begin.
Emerging out connecting with nature is an emotional vestige for me; a heart felt whisper echoes for the ethos to unearth a deeper presence of introspection. No tangled emotions just a soulful rendezvous that recharges a divine inspiration that exudes peace and balance in my life.
