“ART IS ANYTHING THAT SEDUCES THE EYE AND SOOTHES THE SOUL”
–unknown

Hi my name is Betty. I live in Southern NH with my Architect husband of 26yrs, along with our three highly spoiled heal chewing Chihuahuas who you’d just love to boot across the street, Chachi, Molly, and their son Skip. They light up every second of my day!

My passion for art began as a young girl anticipating the arrival of my mother’s monthly subscription to the 1960s ‘McCall’ magazine. When it arrived in the mail, I would run for my cardboard school box, that carried a few crayons, watercolors, a ruler, pencils, and a dull pair of scissors. I can still smell that box of art supplies all these years later. I’d cut out the ‘Betsy McCall’ paper doll that the magazine had offered each month along with a few outfits, where I would trace and design new ones. In the following years art, design, poetry, and writing would become my passion. I love everything,  and anything creative.

As a self-taught traditional artist, I exhibited my artwork throughout New England for many years holding membership with several art guilds.

The advent of the internet and a curious obsession with the computer in 1996, along with my camera and Adobe Photoshop software soon replaced my art supplies, allowing me to traverse a completely new dimension to my work – a new creative outlet without the messy clean up.

In any given moment I can get lost in the simplicity and natural beauty that surrounds me in daily life. The natural beauty that surrounds us all that so many unfortunately take for granted each morning when we rise. I also enjoy being outdoors connecting with nature in my herb, vegetable, and flower gardens.

I shoot with a Canon EOS 30D Digital camera. Any post-processing is completed in Adobe Photoshop CS3 on a MacBook Pro laptop.
