Perched Huddled & Puffy

Mrs.Cardinal stopped by today perched on a branch, huddled & puffy in the crisp air, blending right in with the autumn leaves outside the studio window.

Stay well my friend and have a blessed weekend!

A Pocketful of Sunshine

I took a small road trip a few towns over to Lake Massabesic this past weekend. Having not been there in years I had really forgotten just how beautiful the area is. A spectacular fall day to hike, full of photographic opportunity, and is probably the last day to capture the autumn foliage.

The trail through the woodsy area of wetlands a long the shoreline was painted in a picturesque red, yellow, and orange autumnal reflection.

In the main parking lot we first noticed a solitary seagull that sat poised on a bench rail just about 3 feet away.

There aren’t many sailboats left anchored in the water this time of year, but managed to get a few shots of the  boats that were there.

I hate to see the autumnal season end, it won’t be long now when we’re  sitting in the house peeking out of our homey little ’snow globe’ in awe of the white glistening snow falling outside.

Stay well my friend, and have a blessed week!

Autumn Cemetery Gems

This cemetery gate sits at the end of our gravel road always draws my attention no difference of the season. I love the textured chips of rusty red colored paint framed by the crunchy autumn leaves. I find cemeteries to be so intriguing not only the history but a place of mystery in untold stories where a peaceful beauty lingers.
