This brilliant red flame caught my eye outside the studio window perched at the feeder. While watching I noticed the female Cardinal up in the evergreen along with two little babies, fluttering her wings around them with a gentle nudge to get down on the feeder and eat.
This little one looked to be a bit rumpled like he was fresh out of momma’s oven. He has a lot of red coloring so I’m assuming here that this one is a male.
The other a female, had flown down to a plastic lid sat a-top a tree stump for a mini birdbath. They’re such a joy to watch what a beautiful bird.
