Reflections

The long necked luminescent stem sits upright like a pristine spring tulip chilled with early morning dew. Light tear drops of moisture drip to the crystal sphere below. Embedded reflections of a nearby glimmering light a candle’s radiance seduces the eye, creating a translucent mosaic of multicolored pieces within the crystal invoking a trance state. Depicting fragments of a shattered past. Not one I created but alone will have to maintain.
Cupping the chilled bowl by it’s narrow opening magnifies the wine’s bouquet, innate of white grape. Its contents taste ripened and bold, soothing the soul, as I sit lost in thought on a future of uncertainty.
